The Powell Police Department is launching radKIDS, a new program that will provide education to children and their guardians to enhance their ability to use knowledge, skills and power to protect themselves from unsafe situations.
Powell City Council established the Zoning Code Diagnostic Committee in 2016 to perform a comprehensive review of the zoning, subdivision and development requirements in Powell. This review is one of the land use policy recommendations from the City’s 2015 Comprehensive Plan Update.
The City is nearing completion on the Zoning Code update and is inviting the public to comment on changes.

Each year, the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) runs a national campaign called Tie One on For Safety during the holiday season in an effort to promote awareness and encourage responsible driving. The Powell Police Department is committed to helping MADD promote this message and encourages you to participate as well.
The United States Marshall’s Office arrested Anthony L. Sanders from Oak Park, Mich. as part of a joint investigation with the Powell Police Department and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
The Delaware County Engineer’s Office is closing Jewett Road between Liberty Road and the railroad crossing from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30 and Tuesday, Oct. 31 for tree clearing. A roundabout is planned for this intersection.
