The City of Powell Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment and /or other unforeseen circumstances. In the case of program/class cancellation, you will be notified and issued a full refund in the form of a check. There are no cash or credit card refunds. Refunds take place approximately four weeks to process. When a program or class is canceled due to low enrollment, every effort will be made to notify you 48 hours in advance of the first class. Prepare to attend each class unless you are notified by a city of Powell employee or the instructor of your class.
If a class or program is full, please join the wait list. If someone on a waitlisted program cancels their registration, or spaces are added to the activity, we will contact the first person on the waitlist by email. Waitlist participants are given 24 hours to respond. If no response is received within 24 hours or if the participant chooses not to take the spot, the next wait listed participant is called, until the spot is filled.
All refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis and must go through the Parks and Recreation Department. Please email your refund request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Participant requested refunds are subject to a processing fee of 10% for courses with a fee greater than or equal to $51. Courses with fees less than or equal to $50 will incur a $5 fee. Since decisions to maintain classes are based on the enrollment at the first session, no refunds are granted after the first session. In the case of class cancellation, you will be granted a full check refund. Please allow four weeks for processing all refunds.
Powell Parks and Recreation will maintain normal programming unless otherwise directed. Prepare to attend class unless you are notified by a City of Powell employee or instructor of your class. If Parks and Recreation morning activities are cancelled, a decision on afternoon activities will be made by 3:00pm.
