Traffic Surveys

Traffic Speed Monitoring

The Powell Police Department implements different tactics to enhance the safety of motorists and pedestrians in the community. One method to study traffic safety is through a Stealth Stat. A Stealth Stat is a device that measures speed and is used to conduct traffic surveys in specific areas. The Stealth Stat provides information such as travel direction, average speed, high and low speeds and traffic volume. This data identifies any potential needs for targeted speed enforcement or further studies.

Safety is of paramount importance to the City of Powell, and the Powell Police Department continually strives to sustain the well being of the community. If you are a resident of Powell and wish to have a traffic survey conducted in your area, contact the Powell Police Department at 614.885.5005 or through the contact us submission.
