The  Finance Clerk will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services to the Finance Department. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and assisting with the preparation and monitoring of the payroll system.

Economic Development Administrator
 
Full-Time : $85,000 – $95,000 (negotiable depending on experience)
Department: Administration
 
This new position for the City of Powell will lead efforts to build a cultural destination in downtown Powell through creative placemaking, public realm enhancements, technology and innovation, and brand/promotional expansion in the downtown. The position will also work with the Powell Development Corporation (PDC) to promote the economic development strategy for the City of Powell.

Current City Council, Board & Commission Openings

The City is always searching for individual who have an interest in serving our community. Please visit our Board & Commissions page to learn more about the many opportunities to volunteer. The City currently has the following opportunities:

Operations Committee – The Operations Committee meets on the third Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. to review and discuss operations of the City that impact residents and businesses of the City of Powell.

Development Committee – The Development Committee meets on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. to review and discuss many development related issues before they are forwarded to the City Council.

Tax Incentive Review Council (TIRC)The Tax Incentive Review Council is established under the provisions of the Ohio Revised Code. Annually, the Council reviews all agreements granting exemptions from property taxation and any performance and/or audit reports required pursuant to those agreements. Members are appointed by City Council for three-year terms. The TIRC meets annually.

Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Housing CouncilThe CRA Housing Council shall make an annual inspection of the properties within the district for which an exemption has been granted under Section 3735.67 of the ORC. The Housing Council shall also hear appeals under Section 3735.70 of the ORC.
