Powell’s Business Incubator – The 44 Center for Business
The Powell Business Incubator, located at 44 N. Liberty Street, is designed to support and accelerate the growth of start-up companies. It offers affordable office space for up to four start-up businesses, a conference room, a spacious lobby and a kitchen.
As a Powell Business Incubator tenant, you will have access to professional mentoring and training opportunities, as well telephone, voicemail, Internet, shared administrative staff and ample parking.
Powell’s Chamber of Commerce is made up of local business owners dedicated to serving the Powell and Southern Delaware County business community.
To support the success of its members and the prosperity of the Powell area, the Chamber plans and sponsors several events throughout the year. These events include the popular Taste of Powell at the Columbus Zoo, socials, Lunch and Learns, Farmers Markets, and much more.
The Powell CIC was created to help our area businesses grow and thrive. Its goal is to improve economic growth and development, increase employment, and support a stable business economy for all businesses in Powell.
The Powell Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) corporation on Feb. 16, 2010, as allowed by the Ohio Revised Code. The purpose of the Powell CIC is to promote the industrial, commercial, distribution and research development within the City of Powell that will improve the normal growth, employment opportunities and stability of employment within these sectors. The CIC also works to advance the industrial and commercial life of the community and to stabilize the general economy of the area; to develop methods for or to assist in the development of methods to further enhance these purposes; and to furnish assistance to projects and undertakings concerning these purposes.
The City of Powell is part of The Columbus Region’s economic development initiative called the Columbus 2020 Regional Growth Strategy. Columbus 2020’s purpose is to strengthen and diversity its 11-county economic base.
Powell also works closely with the Delaware County Economic Development Department to connect our businesses with current programs and methods of support.
