2022 Municipal Income Tax Changes for Working From Home

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the location of work for many residents and employees in Powell. For those who have changed their physical work location, the State of Ohio has changed the way you may pay your municipal income taxes. Learn more about what this could mean for you in 2022. 

Winter/Spring Program Registration Begins Jan. 10

The City of Powell Parks & Recreation Department is offering a variety of virtual and in-person programs for this winter and spring. Online registration for classes begins Monday, Jan. 10 for residents and Wednesday, Jan. 12 for non-residents.

New tax law goes into effect Jan. 1, 2022

The city of Powell community turned out on May 4, 2021 to make their voices heard and voted to approve the income tax restructuring proposal, also approved unanimously by Powell City Council. Sixty-six percent of Powell voters approved implementation of the income tax restructuring, which went into effect on January 1, 2022.

Veterans Day Ceremony planned for Nov. 11

The city of Powell is hosting the annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11 at the Greater Powell Veterans Memorial in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street.
