The annual Powell Festival presented by Mount Carmel Health is from 5-11 p.m. Friday, June 21 and noon-11 p.m. Saturday, June 22 in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street.

Public Forum planned to discuss left turn restriction hours at the Four Corners intersection


The City of Powell is hosting a public forum to discuss whether or not to extend the time frame for restricted left turns at the Olentangy and Liberty Street intersection. The forum will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 47 Hall Street.

Lolli-Pops Concert Series returns June 3


The popular Lolli-Pops Summer Children’s Concert Series returns in 2019, kicking off at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 3 with Zak Morgan on the McClurg Properties Community Stage in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street.

Deputy Chief Stephen Hrytzik to be named Interim Chief of Police


Deputy Chief of Police Stephen Hrytzik will be sworn in as the Interim Chief of Police immediately upon the retirement of Chief Gary Vest.

Portion of Olentangy Street to close during upcoming Street Market


The Powell Street Market will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, May 5 in downtown Powell. Olentangy Street will be closed between Depot and Liberty Street from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. for the market. 

Four Corners construction scheduled to begin April 14


Construction on the Olentangy and Liberty Street intersection will begin next Sunday, April 14. The intersection will be closed overnight from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. Overnight road closures will take place for up to four weeks, weather permitting.

All residents of the City are required to complete yearly Municipal Income Tax Returns – no matter the resident’s age or amount of wages/income. The City’s income tax is collected by the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA). Tax information and forms are available at www.ritaohio.com or by calling the local Columbus office at 866.721.7482.

Next Powell Liberty Historical Society program to feature Chief Gary Vest


Powell Police Chief Gary Vest is retiring after 23 years of service to the Powell Police Department. He will reflect on the past two decades and share highlights during the next Powell Liberty Historical Society program at 7 p.m. Monday, April 8 in the Municipal Building Council Chambers, 47 Hall Street.
