Guide to the 2019 Powell Festival

The annual Powell Festival presented by Mount Carmel Health is from 5-11 p.m. Friday, June 21 and noon-11 p.m. Saturday, June 22 in Village Green Park, 47 Hall Street.

The Festival is a free event, featuring family-friendly entertainment, food, endless activities for children, shopping and more.

Mount Carmel Kid’s Zone
The Mount Carmel Kid’s Zone will feature more than a dozen rides, games and activities for children. Interactive games include an extreme trampoline, hippo chow down, bungee run, warrior dash obstacle course and more. Wristbands are $20 per day per child. There is an area for younger children (48″ or less). Wristbands for the younger children’s area are $10 per day per child.


Night at the Races
New this year – Night at the Races presented by the Olentangy Rotary Club. The event will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday of the Festival in the Municipal Building East Room. The races will start at 7 p.m. More information about the event can be found here.


Parking
Guests are encouraged to use public parking lots and street parking spaces in downtown Powell. Additional parking will be available in the Village Academy parking lot as well as along South Liberty Street.


Road Closures
South Liberty Street will be closed to northbound traffic from 4 p.m.-midnight Friday, June 21 and from 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday, June 22 for parking. Bennett Parkway will serve as the detour.
