The Powell Police Department plans to add extra enforcement at the Olentangy and Liberty Street intersection in order to reduce the number of motorists making illegal left turns during the prohibited time frame.
Powell City Council unanimously approved a pre-annexation agreement during last night’s meeting for a proposed healthcare facility. The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is proposing the development of a healthcare facility to be located at the northeast corner of Sawmill Parkway and Home Road. The Medical Center seeks to pursue an annexation of the property and proposed facility into the City of Powell.

The City’s Development Department conducted a Downtown Powell Traffic Study from May 20, 2017 to July 26, 2017. The study was conducted with three goals in mind: to gather knowledge, inform decision making and improve parking in Powell.
The Delaware County Engineer’s Office plans to close Jewett Road between Liberty Road and the railroad tracks for the first phase of the new roundabout installation on Monday, June 4 through Tuesday, Aug. 14, weather permitting. Liberty Road will remain open during phase one.
