Welcome to our newest City of Powell employees! These individuals joined our team in the first half of 2023, and have made valuable contributions.

Jill Alfred, Recreation Instructor, part-time
Jill loves working with young children and their families and worked as a childcare provider for 34 years. Since 2021, she has been teaching preschool in a community-based program in Worthington.

Joe Baker, Public Service Worker
Joe comes to the City of Powell from Westerville, where he was employed as a Maintenance Worker. He also worked in their sign shop.

Wes Blake, IT Manager
Wes most recently worked with the Franklin County Data Center as a Cloud Engineer. He has previously served as a Project Engineer with Arnet Technologies, a Network Engineer with Edge Technology and a Senior IT Specialist with Bethel Health Center. He is also certified as a Scrum Master.

Samantha Borchers, Assistant Finance Director
Samantha comes to the City of Powell from SafeAuto/National General Insurance, where she worked as an Accountant, Financial Reporting Supervisor, and Associate Manager. She is a certified public accountant.

Seth Harding, Building Inspector
Seth brings 20 years of experience as a certified Building Inspector from Wayne County and the city of Dublin.

Jon Merriman, Building Inspector
Jon has a long history in construction as a Project Manager and Superintendent, and also served on the City of Johnstown’s Planning and Zoning Commission

Mallory Sribanditmongkol, Strategic Communications Officer
Mallory brings more than a decade of public information management experience to the City of Powell, working with Licking Heights and Gahanna-Jefferson school districts. Most recently, she worked for Summit Construction as School and Community Relations Manager.

Aaron Stanford, City Engineer
Aaron spent 18 years with the City of Dublin, where he was most recently the Deputy Director of Engineering. He started his career with the City of Columbus as an Engineer in the Transportation and Engineering and Construction Divisions.
