We are pleased to welcome Sean Hughes to the City of Powell! Sean will join the administrative team as Powell’s first Economic Development Administrator in December.
He comes to Powell following a successful decade with the City of Delaware. Prior to his tenure with the City of Delaware, Sean served as the Executive Director/Economic Development Director at the Madison County, Ohio Chamber of Commerce, Madison County Future Inc. Community Improvement Corporation and Convention and Visitors Bureau.
During his time as an economic development officer for Delaware and Madison County, Sean built five new teams/departments including a new CIC, CVB and two entrepreneurial centers, assisted in attracting 8,000 new jobs with more than $500 million in new payroll, and maintained 95% first-floor occupancy in the downtown area of Delaware.
