After a successful launch in 2021, Powell’s popular multicultural event, Passport to Powell, returns to Village Green Park on Friday, August 19. Attendees will have the opportunity to experience the diverse and vibrant cultures of the Powell community through music and dance performances, food sampling, and more. The event will also offer food trucks, beer sales, and a Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA).
Passport to Powell will be held at Village Green Park (47 Hall St.) on Friday, August 19, from 6-9:30 pm. Admission is FREE.
Passport to Powell is made possible through the generous support of McClurg Properties, Jill Patricia King, Delaware County Transit, Evolve Health Pediatrics, Giant Eagle, Master Kim’s MegaKick Martial Arts, The Middlefield Banking Company, Newman Roofing, LLC, Pedego Electric Bikes Powell, and RV Wholesalers.
“Our very first Passport to Powell event in 2021 was in response to a Community Attitudes Survey in which Powell residents expressed the desire for events that highlight the various cultures that make up our community,” stated City Councilwoman and Chair of Powell’s Community Diversity Advisory Committee Heather Karr. “The inaugural event was very successful and we are thrilled to bring it back in 2022, building on that success and sharing the diversity of the many cultures that make Powell such a wonderful place to be.”
