Portions of Library Park’s entrance road and parking lot will be temporarily closed for paving work starting Tuesday, Sept. 1. For the next day or two access to the park will be limited to one lane of traffic, and portions of the parking lot will be closed. Work is expected to be finished this week.

Council votes to ban temporary signs – Powell City Council voted 5-1 with one abstention to ban temporary commercial signs and modify what is permitted for permanent signs. The ordinance will go into effect within 30 days. Temporary signs will be permitted for non-profit and government special events.
Powell City Council unanimously approved a resolution determining the sufficiency and validity of a referendum petition to repeal Ordinance 2015-18. This ordinance includes the final development plan for Harper’s Pointe, a single family condominium gated community. Arlington Homes plans to construct 47 single family condominium homes on 8.75 acres off of Beech Ridge Drive.
Starting June 8, ODOT will begin a project to secure the hillside using shotcrete, which is concrete that is sprayed out of a nozzle instead of poured. Click here for more information on the project.
