Seven members comprise the Planning and Zoning Commission. The members, appointed by City Council, serve three-year terms. The Planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendations to Council on a variety of development-related issues as well as amendments to Zoning Code. The Commission meets the second and fourth (optional) Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m.
Please consult development department staff before submitting any applications. This ensures that the department is aware of the application and that all application requirements have been met.
Applications and all supporting materials are due to the development department at least 15 days prior to P&Z meetings.
Once the completed application form is received, it is reviewed by development department staff and the resulting analysis is provided to the P&Z for their consideration before making a decision.
Development proposals typically go through a sketch plan, preliminary plan, and then final plan review. However, combined preliminary and final reviews can be arranged if plan submittal criteria is met.
At each stage, the applicant must do their best to address staff, P&Z, and public concerns and questions.
