Collaboration pays off! Thanks to a cooperative effort between city staff and community members, the residents of the Verona subdivision will see a savings on their long-term sewer development assessment.
City administrative staff and councilmembers, as well as, members of the Verona Home Owners Association, spent considerable time together over the past few months reviewing project documentation and council records.
This financial analysis right-sized the payments of sewer improvements financed by the city in 2016, ensuring all debts are repaid to city constituents in a timely manner. The initial service agreement provided residents of the newly-constructed subdivision the opportunity to tap into previously unavailable sewer service.
