Daniel

Daniel Swartwout

A lifelong Central Ohio resident, Daniel Swartwout has lived in Powell since 2004.  He graduated from Upper Arlington High School, where he was the president of his senior class.  Dan then earned two degrees from The Ohio State University.  In 1996, Dan received his B.A. magna cum laude.  Then, in 2000, Dan earned his J.D. summa cum laude from the Moritz College of Law.  After graduating from law school, Dan passed the Bar Exam and worked as an associate in the Columbus office of Jones Day.

However, despite having a future in the law, Dan had another passion.

In May 2002, Dan left Jones Day to pursue standup comedy full time.  He has traveled across the country performing at comedy clubs, colleges, resorts, and military bases.  As a performer, Dan has also devoted his time to numerous charitable organizations.

Dan is married to Tasha Swartwout, a sales executive with a major food-distribution company.  In 2009, Dan and Tasha hoped to start a family.  As a result, Dan got off “the road” full-time and started working as a law clerk for the Honorable Roger L. Kline in Ohio’s Fourth District Court of Appeals.  Two years later, Dan and Tasha were blessed with the arrival of their daughter, Elizabeth Ann Swartwout.

In 2013, Dan opened The Law Office of Daniel Swartwout, LLC.  He also continues to perform standup comedy and serve as a master of ceremonies for numerous events.
