Suspects arrested in connection with attempted armed robbery

(POWELL, Ohio)—Feb. 20, 2015—The Powell Police Department arrested Mason Walker, 19, of Ashley in connection to the attempted armed robbery incident that occurred on Jan. 28, 2015 along Village Ridge Court.

Walker was arrested at approximately 7:45 a.m. today at the Sawmill Parkway and Galloway Drive intersection and is currently being held in the Delaware County Jail. He is facing aggravated robbery and menacing by stalking charges.

Conner Wagner, 18, of Westerville was also arrested in connection to the case. Police believe Wagner was in the vehicle at the time of the attempted armed robbery. Wagner was arrested at approximately 12:30 p.m. today at his residence in Westerville. He is being held in the Delaware County Jail and is facing complicity to attempted armed robbery.

“The police department worked diligently to solve this case,” said Chief Gary Vest. “We hope today’s arrests help restore a sense of security and safety for our community.”

Police received a report of an attempted armed robbery at approximately 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015 along Village Ridge Court in the Olentangy Ridge subdivision.

According to the report, the suspect rang the homeowner’s doorbell and when the homeowner answered the door, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim. He was carrying a silver handgun and drove away from the residence in a darkcolored vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
