Powell Parks

Powell Parks

Powell is home to 114 acres of parkland, a splash pad, 29 miles of interconnecting bike trails, and more than 200 recreational, leisure, and educational activities.

So relax, reconnect, and enjoy the activities Powell has to offer - right in your own backyard.

Parks

Powell's seven award-winning parks offer something for everyone. You can play a game of tennis, basketball, or cheer your child's baseball team to victory. You can hike the nature trails, fish, or try your hand at horseshoe. Or you can enjoy a picnic lunch beneath the shade of mature trees, in a gazebo, or under a spacious park shelter.

From our parks, you can walk or bike to historic downtown Powell, pick up a book at the local library, or enjoy a refreshing treat at one of our many ice cream shops. With soccer fields, a skate park, and playgrounds, with trails to connect them all, you can get wherever you need to go in Powell while always staying close to home.

Adventure Park

260 Adventure Park Drive

As one of our busiest parks, you'll not only find our Parks & Recreation Department offices located here, but also a 17,000 square-foot skate park, playground, eight new pickleball courts, basketball courts, and a variety of recreation programs held inside and outside for all to enjoy. You'll also find two gazebos at this location - great for hosting a picnic or small gathering.

Arbor Ridge Park

500 Bennett Parkway

Visitors can step onto our tennis courts for a competitive game of tennis, play the day away on our handicapped-accessible playground, or fly a kite as the winds blow through the open green space at the park. This park is also home to the Powell-Kiwanis Community Garden.

Library Park

420 South Liberty Street

Athletic fields make up a significant portion of this park with wide-open spaces within a short distance from a well-established gathering of native Ohio trees. Mixed in are a variety of court games, including a Pickleball court, and a playground for kids of all ages to enjoy. The Powell Branch of the Delaware County District Library is also located in the park if you're looking for an interesting book to check out before heading home.

Meadowview Park

329 Ashmoore Drive

Nestled in the heart of the Ashmoore subdivision, Meadowview Park boasts a winding forest trail, a leisurely fishing pond, and playground. The cattails surrounding the pond offer not only a good hiding place for the many animals that call this park home, but a serene backdrop for a relaxing afternoon picnic.

Murphy Park

47 Murphy Parkway

Once the location of auto racing, the first Delaware County Fair, and a party barn, you'll find Murphy Park a quiet site featuring two playgrounds, horse shoe and bocce ball areas, and a summer shelter house available to rent for birthday parties, reunions, or cookouts.

Seldom Seen Park

3240 Seldom Seen Road

Seldom Seen Park is a 23-acre park site along the north side of Seldom Seen Road west of the railroad tracks. This park features five soccer fields, two 200-foot baseball diamonds, playground, nature preserve, multi-use paths, and a summer shelter with restrooms.

Village Green Park

47 Hall Street

Located in the heart of downtown Powell, Village Green Park has something for everyone! Truly the gathering place for the community, this park is alive with activity all year long with a variety of events, including the annual Powell Festival, and the ever-popular Splash Pad. While you're there, visit the solar picnic pavilion, which provides picnic tables and shade while supplying energy to the adjacent Municipal Building and Police Department.

Splash Pad in Village Green Park

Cool off from the heat at the Splash Pad located in Village Green Park. With a few exceptions, the Splash Pad is open Memorial Day to Labor Day from 9am-9pm daily. Before heading out to the Splash Pad, please visit the City of Powell on Facebook to make sure there have been no last-minute changes in hours for the day or closings due to inclement weather.
