(POWELL, Ohio)—April 4, 2017—The City of Powell Parks & Recreation Department is adding more camps and programs for this spring and summer.
Express, in-person registration for residents is from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at the City’s Municipal Building, 47 Hall Street. Online registration for residents begins Thursday, April 13 and starts for non-residents on Friday, April 14.
“We’re excited to provide an array of camps and classes for our community this spring and summer,” said Parks & Recreation Supervisor Gina Kolp. “The opportunities introduce children to so many different interests – art, athletics, cooking, science and more.”
Highlights
Junior Camp | Ages 4-7
This camp is available for ages 4-7 and is a great way to introduce children to camp. Kids will spend time singing songs, making crafts, reading stories and playing games.
Skyhawks | Ages 3-12
Skyhawks is offering a variety of athletic leagues, classes and camps this year, including t-ball, baseball, golf, soccer, basketball and football.
Little Medical School | Ages 5-12
The Little Medical School offers children the opportunity to learn about medicine, science and the importance of health in an entertaining, exciting and fun way.
Little Van Gogh Art | Ages 2-11
Children explore the arts through various techniques. Different projects engage all their senses and awaken their creativity. Activities are inspired by the season and famous artists.
Challenge Island | Ages 6-11
Challenge Island is an international educational franchise on the forefront of STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art and Math) Education and 21st Century learning.
Teen Fishing Trip | Ages 12-18
The Powell Police Department invites teens to join officers as they drive to Lake Erie to spend the day fishing on a charter boat.
