The City of Powell will begin collecting pavement condition data that will help maintain safe and efficient roadways.
Pavement Management Group (PMG) was selected by the City to gather regional pavement data from over 75 miles of Powell roadways and paths.
The data will be gathered from video footage of the roadways. Residents may see a white PMG pickup truck driving on roads and paths during this time.
“The City of Powell is committed to maintaining its roadways for residents and visitors,” said City Engineer Aaron Stanford. “This data will ensure our streets and paths remain in optimal condition for years to come.”
Following the roadway assessments, the consultant will begin collecting data from the City’s shared-use paths. The process will begin on Monday, Sept. 16, and continue through the end of the month.
“Once the City has the data, we’ll be able to use it to analyze pavement conditions, determine prioritization of project locations, and request funds for the Street and Path Maintenance Program,” said Stanford.
The City completes the pavement assessment process every two years. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this process.
