Program: “A Ride on the C D & M”, (Columbus, Delaware and Marion Railroad Company) presented by Jack Hilborn.
Jack is currently the president of Delaware County Historical Society, and longtime insurance agent in Delaware. Over the years he has developed an avid interest in railroads and transportation history. We are fortunate that he is willing to share with us this passion and expertise next week at our Powell Liberty Historical Society monthly program.
Jack will tell us about the C D and M railway, which was established in early 1900 to provide transportation north of Columbus. This interurban played a key role in the growth and development of both Franklin and Delaware County and in keeping people in each community connected.
Please join us on Monday evening as Jack takes us on a journey through the early history of interurban transportation in Delaware County.
