Powell City Council is seeking candidates who are interested in serving on the Planning & Zoning Commission or Board of Zoning Appeals. All candidates must be a resident of the City of Powell.
Planning & Zoning Commission – This is a seven-member commission which makes recommendations to City Council on a variety of development-related issues, as well as amendments to the Zoning Code. Members serve a 4-year term, generally meeting in the evening on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
Board of Zoning Appeals – This is a five member board which hears requests for appeals of the Zoning Administrator and grants or denies zoning variances within the City. Members serve a 3-year term, meeting on an as-needed basis.
