Capital Improvement Projects

The Capital Improvement Plan is a major piece of the budget that details the projects the City plans to work on for the next five years. The 2025-2029  CIP proposes $54.6 million in spending with $14 million dedicated to spending in 2025.

Capital Improvement Projects

This year’s CIP featured 23 projects. Some of the most notable include:

  • $2.8 million for the annual street maintenance and repair program.
  • $2.4 million to extend Scioto Street from Liberty Street to Grace Drive and construct a new public parking lot.
  • $2.1 million for the reconstruction of North Depot Street from Olentangy Street to Case Avenue that includes new sidewalks, paved parking, street lighting, roadway drainage, and more.
  • $1.3 million to renovate the Lechler Building
  • $650,000 to expand parking at Adventure Park.
  • $500,000 for the Village Green Master Plan
  • $250,000 to rehabilitate the Adventure Park CSX railroad tunnel.
  • $170,000 to connect the shared-use path on the east side of Liberty Road to the existing path on the west side of Murphy Parkway.
  • $170,000 for outdoor warning sirens.
