The City of Powell is inviting experienced and qualified firms to submit their qualifications for the development of a comprehensive shared-use path plan. The objective of this plan is to enhance the city’s connectivity, promote active transportation, and improve the quality of life for all residents.
In August of 2023, the City of Powell approved a resolution in support of the Complete Streets Initiative. The City recognizes the importance of accommodating all modes of transportation and providing for the safe and efficient operation of the roads, paths, sidewalks, shared-use paths, bike lanes, transit facilities, and other transportation facilities. The City aims to enhance the quality of life through improvements to transportation safety, equity, mobility, accessibility, connectivity, sustainability, and resiliency as well as public health and economic vitality.
