Pay – $115,000 a year (negotiable depending on experience) Employment Type – Full-TimeDepartment – Development Department This position provides direction, guidance, and management of the Planning Department, which provides professional and technical expertise to inform the land use decisions for public officials, residents, and the development community.The Planning Director engages citizens to establish and realize a long-range vision for Powell’s land use and established goals to ensure sound urban planning, land use management, and related projects for the City.
Pay – $16.00/hr. Schedule – Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Dates – Flexible start and end dates around May 2024 through August 2024 The City of Powell is seeking to fill five (5) seasonal positions for this summer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is interested in gaining experience for a career in Parks & Recreation. These positions will help staff prepare for and facilitate the City’s Summer day camp programming. Applicants may also have the opportunity to assist with special events and other Parks & Recreation activities.

Charter Review Commission – The Charter Review Commission is comprised of members of Powell City Council, City of Powell resident, and members of City staff to review the Powell City Charter and make recommendations for changes. The City Charter is the governing constitution for the City of Powell and the Commission will recommend changes to the Charter that will be passed by the City Council and placed on a ballot for a vote of the public.
The members are appointed by Council and will meet on a set number of meetings to be determined at a later date by the Commission.
Community Reinvestment Area (CRA) Housing Council – The CRA Housing Council shall make an annual inspection of the properties within the district for which an exemption has been granted under Section 3735.67 of the ORC. The Housing Council shall also hear appeals under Section 3735.70 of the ORC.
